Former FBI Director James Comey may have dealt one of the key blows that sunk Hillary Clinton's campaign -- but it turns out they have one thing in common: Neither wants to be hugged by Donald Trump.

The New York Times reported late Thursday that former FBI Director James Comey once went out of his way to avoid being noticed by President Trump during a White House ceremony two days after the president took office.

"He thought he had gotten through and not been noticed or singled out and that he was going to get away without an individual interaction," a source said in the paper, but ultimately was called out by Trump and hugged by him.

The Comey news prompted Clinton aide Philippe Reines to share a similar -- albeit more dramatic -- video from debate prep, in which the former Democratic nominee for president can be see deflecting the hug with a handshake.
